Oral History Interview with Rabbi B. Baskin, circa 1980
Rabbi Baskin was born in New Jersey, not sure why the family came to Denver but thinks his father may have had some tuberculosis. Interview split between talking about his father Rabbi Sam Baskin and his own life.
Rabbi Manuel Laderman at Union Station, 1932 October 25
Twenty-three-year-old Rabbi Manuel Laderman (tallest man in the group) surrounded by delegates from the Hebrew Educational Alliance upon his arrival at Union Station, Denver, Colorado in 1932. He graduated from the Hebrew Theological College in Illinois and had just been ordained when he came to Denver to serve as the first Rabbi of the Hebrew Educational Alliance. He served as rabbi at the Orthodox synagogue until 1979. He was born August 25, 1909 and died in Denver on November 27, 1989.

Torah Dedication at the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society (JCRS). The JCRS was a sanatorium for tuberculosis patients that was founded in 1904 by a group of immigrant Jewish workingmen along with the support of several leading physicians and rabbis in Denver, Colorado. It was located on West Colfax Avenue just outside Denver.

Torah Dedication at the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society (JCRS). A crowd is walking out of a building and into the street while a rabbi leads them carrying the Torah. The JCRS was a sanatorium for tuberculosis patients that was founded in 1904 by a group of immigrant Jewish workingmen along with the support of several leading physicians and rabbis in Denver, Colorado.
